Happy Holidays from the Newly-Webbs

This was our delicious Thanksgiving Dinner! Mayra made everything, but I did in fact help with a couple things...like cutting the turkey. Needless to say the turkey lasted us for a very long time.
The picture of Dillards represents a combination of strong emotions that vary from hate to joy, and also represents a major time commitment during the last couple weeks. The other picture is me on my BIRTHDAY!
To be honest I don't know why this picture is pointed the wrong direction and I don't know how to fix it. But, it is a picture of our Christmas tree before we tore everything apart.
This is a beautiful picture of Mayra opening presents on Xmas morning. I love her.

Spook-tacular October

Life is busy. Understatement. Life is crazy busy. We are having a wonderful time at BYU, striving our best to excel in our educational goals. Law school is getting closer for me and we are very excited for what the future will hold for us. We are going to graduate in August of '11. I plan on taking the LSAT this summer and then it is on to the applications. We both work at Dillards. Let's just say that it has been a deeply educational experience and is a great motivation to stay in school! I love you all and wish that we could spend more time with you. It seems as though we are going to spend all of our first holidays together without the family. BUMMER. If anyone knows how to get free money let us know and we will come visit you ASAP. Ha. The first pumpkin is Mayra's. It is a spider on a 'webb'. The second is mine. It is a castle with trees. Hugs and kisses and everything nice.

Oh, Provo!

This entire summer. since Logan and I have been married, we have been working 24/7 at Dillards in the Provo Towne Center.  What a long summer it has been! Just this past weekend we were able to snag a 3 day weekend and drive up to Boise, Idaho. It is always a blast being with family.   We went boating, where Logan showed off his mad skills at wake boarding, and I tried water skiing for the first time and thought my arms would get ripped off.  We went golfing (I really just rode the golf cart),  and got to hear stories from Grandma Toosje's childhood.  But we did forget to take pictures, sorry.
We are currently awaiting the first day of school of our SENIOR YEAR AT BYU!!!!! :) YAY!

blogger repentance

To all of those who have spent fruitless moments searching our page for a new post, or pictures of our most recent adventures, I apologize for our failure to provide such! We are very busy working, name changing, moving in, etc. Consider this small post a plea for forgiveness! We will be receiving wedding pictures soon, so expect things to start to get interesting!

my true eyes

There have been some who would proclaim love at first sight. My response to them is that more accurately proclaimed, there is sight at first love; a beautiful world waiting for the emotionally blind. It is an ancient miracle to receive blessed sight through the God given gift of LOVE. Mayra, you have made my eyes to see the beauty of the life around me. Through my feelings for you I have come to better understand God's love for me. You are my everything. I love you.

Epiphany.

Love is self-discovery. You don't know what kind of person you really are or how you really think or act, until you are placed in a situation that demands patience, meekness, humility, and charity. Love brings out your true colors, whether they be good or bad. Love is self-discovery.

The Beginning of a New Era

I know this is a lot of pictures of random events but I couldn't put on all of my favorites. I guess it is just a taste of a marvelous and enjoyable break. It had been four years since the last time that my entire family was together for Christmas and three years since I had been home for my Birthday. I felt very blessed to be with my loved ones during this break. It doesn't matter what religion or background you are from, there is something powerful in the family unit that cannot be denied. Speaking of families; we now have a new edition to ours. I asked Mayra to be my sweetheart for eternity in the surreal environment of the snowy mountains of McCall. We will be married on May 7th! Truthfully I cannot recall a happier time of my life than I spent this past week with my loved ones.
